An Enriched Life to Enrich Others

       Ruth De Leon has enjoyed music from an early age and always sought to share her talents and abilities in both piano and violin. Over the span of at least 3 decades she has performed in choirs and orchestras at universities, colleges, churches, nursing homes, and community events. And she spent decades teaching in a local non-profit conservatory to enrich the lives of local community members.

  Ms De Leon won first place in multiple national and international piano competitions and eventually pursued music as her chosen career, culminating in a Masters degree in Piano Pedagogy. She accepted a position as a professor of piano at a local college where she enjoyed teaching students, collaborating with colleagues, and performing both piano and violin. And it was during these years when she debut a few of her own compositions.

         Through-out her musical career Ruth had a compassionate heart for people with medical conditions. She herself had suffered from heart issues as a child and was deeply impressed by the compassionate care of her doctors and nurses. In later decades she would join family in helping care for her maternal grandmother. And through that experience she wished to do more for people with medical needs. So in the middle of a successful music career, Ruth returned to school and pursued a medical career. " I wanted to roll up my sleeves and help people in more practical ways, as I did with my own family."  

         Ruth excelled in her skills and was honored by supervisors, managers, and co-workers. She greatly enjoyed caring for the needs of patients, often encouraging them through difficult medical struggles. And when a world-wide pandemic rocked the medical establishment Ruth decided to soldier on, despite the risks it could entail. Her dedication and excellent work ethic encouraged mangers and supervisors alike in entrusting her with multiple nursing responsibilities often reserved for those with many more years experience.

         Today, Ms. Ruth De Leon has combined her knowledge and experience from both careers to enrich the well-being of others.  Her programs and art are a unique blend of creativity, passion, and empathy.
